A percentage of our profits for the month of Sept/Oct will be donated to Direct Relief
Due to rapid climate change, wildfires have ravaged a huge part of California,my home state. This month's organization will be to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay. Their reach goes beyond CA, and this is the best organization to focus our efforts to for the month. Click on the icon to learn more or donate.
"In less than 20 years, the volume of clothing Americans toss each year has doubled from 7 million to 14 million tons, or an astounding 80 pounds per person. "
" I MAKE CLOTHING THAT IS ALWAYS ONE-OF-A-KIND, UP-CYCLED FROM FABRICS THAT ARE UNWANTED OR DONATED. AFTER OVER A DECADE OF WORKING AS A DESIGNER IN FASHION AND SEEING THE MASSIVE WASTES PRODUCED BY THE INDUSTRY, I FELT A DEEP SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY TO START A CLOTHING LINE THAT HELPS REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT AND IS ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE. WELL CURATED VINTAGE AND USED CLOTHING WHEN MENDED, COMBINED AND STITCHED WITH SKILL & THOUGHTFUL INTENTIONS CAN BE TRANSFORMED INTO SOMETHING 'NEW' THAT CAN BE LOVED AGAIN. AND WHEN CARED FOR, THEY WILL LAST IN YOUR CLOSET FOR A LIFETIME."
